The 9th edition of the WSF World Rookie Fest started it’s week-long with 3 days for trainings and qualification in Livigno at the Mottolino Snowpark. 127 rippers up to 18 years old from seventeen nations joined this legendary youth snowboard event. The 9th WSF World Rookie Fest in Livigno - 2 perfectly shaped slopestyle course welcomed the finals in which riders had three runs to determine the winner, the best one counted. The riding level from the rookies of this edition was impressively and proved again that the future of snowboarding is in good hands. Highlight of week was 8-year-old Jacqueline De Jong from Nederland, the youngest competitor of the week.

The 5Star TTR Burton Canadian Open saw Chas Guldemond (USA) and Jamie Anderson (USA) take the win making Jamie the new leader of the TTR Slopestyle Tour Rankings. This is Chas’ first Slopestyle result registered for the 2011/2012 season. Ryo Aono (JPN) and Queralt Castellet (ESP) were victorious in the Halfpipe. Ryo is now on top of the men’s TTR Halfpipe Tour Rankings and Queralt is in the lead for the women.
