Kicking off in March 2009, the Series will first travel to Tasmania for the most Southern event within professional surfing. The island state 240km off mainland Australia boasts big powerful surf and a variety of world class reef and beach breaks in a rugged and challenging environment, with an average water temperature of 13 degrees in March.

LAAX/SUI (March 1, 2012) – Another bluebird day, spring temperatures and an epic Slopestyle course laid the groundwork for one of the Burton European Open’s most memorable slopestyle competitions earlier today. Jamie Anderson (USA) successfully defended her title and won the BEO Slopestyle for the second year in a row, while Aleksander Ostreng (NOR) won his first international title today. Both winners took home $15,000 and a world-class title to add to their snowboarding resumes.

Kelia Moniz is the new ASP Women’s Longboard World Champion after winning the SWATCH GIRLS PRO China 2012 hosted by Wanning in 2-3ft (shoulder high) surf. In a repeat of last year’s final, Kelia faced off against Australia’s Chelsea Williams, the defending event champion, and promptly set about a commanding display of smooth, radical longboard surfing, mixing rail-to-rail lines and classic hang-ten moves to leave Chelsea needing a combination of scores (16.05 vs. 9.5).

On an absolutely stunning day, 12 men and 6 women took to the largest halfpipe in the world, at Europe’s premier snowboard event — the LAAX OPEN. During the riders three runs the battles got crazy, making it difficult to predict who would win, but in the end it was Japan’s Ayumu Hirano, and USA’s Arielle Gold, who went away 2016 LAAX OPEN Halfpipe champs, $75.000 and $45,000 USD richer.

Rv Rauxel wins the women’s final and Dukla Prague wins the men’s final for the ROWING Champions League 2015 which took place on the Spree right in front of the Mercedes-Benz-Arena. The women’s eight from RV Rauxel, which is the champion of the german league, had to battle Crefeld RC, the winner of last year’s ROWING Champions League. The 6th FAI Sailplane Grand Prix World Final 2015 was hosted by the Aeroclub Adele Orsi (ACAO) on the airfield of Calcinate near Varese in northern Italy, ACAO is the foremost Club in Italy, known for its excellence and International activities.
