We skiers are a strange breed. When most of society is running for cover, we find ourselves rejoicing at the sight of a cold low pressure system circling on the Satellite loop. We yearn for the feeling of cold powder snow blowing in our faces. Inside a swirling maelstrom of snowflakes, we feel most free.

Every summer, forest fires burn wildly across the temperate mountain regions of the world. As destructive as they are, they have a purpose and beauty that often goes unappreciated. As winter arrives in the burned forest, so do the skiers. They have come to celebrate new lines opened up by the previous summer’s fires that have now burned themselves out – or have they?

It feels good. Slamming into concrete walls, risking the backcountry unknown, being broke on the road… Some would call it hedonistic behavior, we call it living the dream, and this cast of characters delivers a vibrant depiction of this so-called sport of skiing. With a local tourist mentality, the simple joys are found near and far. From India, Switzerland and Japan, to British Columbia, Washington DC, and Alaska, it’s business in the front,...

Best powder day of my life ! Few skiers on the hill, more than 50 cm of super cold and light snow everywhere, sunshine, great friends, a 193cm 13/14 model D1 Dupraz snowboard for unequaled floating and that's it ! Riding from 9 am till 5 pm non stop, not even a drink. All lifts opened one after the other, (not at the same time, due to avalanche risks) so we were able to work all over the place very consistently !This is just a super short teaser, all filmed with my Sony action cam at 120 fps....

In this webisode you will see the footage from Simen Gjelsvik and Nikolai Nygaard?s trip to Mt.Baker.
They had many good days with good snow and they also made it across the boarder to shred the park in Whistler, Canada.
We managed to lose the memory card with pretty much all of Nikolais helmet cam footage, so there is a bunch of clips missing, hopefully we can find it so we can make an edit out of it later.
