Why do we go to the mountains? There are reasons that reach beyond the climb, past the descent, and are far more important than the summit. Regardless of the grade, the elevation, or the name of any peak, we go to the mountains seeking a feeling; and no matter where or who we are, the feeling is the same. Whether you’re on the highest mountain in the world or at your local hill back home – we go for The Process.

In his third appearance at the event, Finnish rider Juuso Laivisto claimed his second first-place finish at China’s 5Star TTR Red Bull Nanshan Open. “It’s been awesome to see how the event has grown the last years, since I won it the first time, when it was still a 4Star. I was stoked with my win, it was definitely heavy competition today. The others were just a little unfortunate I think.” Juuso said.

Fitness is an absolutely important part for cliff divers not to get injured. One competition after the other within seven days – that’s hard for a cliff diver’s body. What’s the perfect training for bones and muscles to deal with a challenge like this? Is it an advantage to be a rookie diver in a young body or does experience play a role as well?

They call themselves cliff divers, but still use a platform – why?
A high rock and some deep water – that is what makes a cliff diver’s heart beat faster. Searching, finding, conquering and enjoying a cliff and the rush that goes through the body after a dive. It’s all about pure nature and brave men. When these athletes exchange the cliff for a platform and show their jaw-dropping manoeuvres from at least 27 metres in front of a huge crowd of spec...

Welcome to Bonifacio. Perched on a limestone pedestal, Bonifacio is one of the most spectacular towns in the Mediterranean. The citadel walls and ancient houses appear to rise seamlessly out of sheer cliffs that have been hollowed and striated by the wind and waves. Beneath, an inlet about 100 metres wide forms a natural harbour, home to a busy port. Only 12 kilometres from Sardinia, the town is distinctly more Italian than French in atmosphere, and even has its own dialect based on Ligurian...

The athletes of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series are well trained, physically fit and technically skilled divers; each of them. Some are obviously more affected by challenging conditions whereas others jump...

Roope Tonteri (FIN) unfortunately was unable to stomp what could have been a first place run, landing a cab900 indy but reverting out on his impressive bs1260 mute attempt – still finishing his run off in style with a switch boardslide 270out on the polejam and a lipslide 270out on the downrail, enough for third place. The TTR Worldtour Slopestyle Ranking sees Roope Tonteri still holding on to his leading position, followed now by newcomers in the top 3 Sam Hulbert an Maxence Parrot (CAN).
