The world’s best mountainbikers compete in Israel in the midst of sand, forest and along the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea. The largest Israeli cycling event, the Bara Epic Israel, got it all and is about to take place on Wednesday 11th – Saturday 14th of October. Among them are Lukas Baum (GER) and Georg Egger (GER), last year‘s winners and 2nd place of the Cape Epic 2023. Additionally, Kim Le Court (MRI) and Vera Looser (NAM) have the opportunity to continue their successes. The two have already won the Cape Epic and the Swiss Epic this season, something no team has ever achieved in one year. In the Epic Israel, athletes have to compete together with their team-partner in a 4-day MTB stage race. It covers 300km in distance and almost 4.300m of climbing.

Stage 6 marked the penultimate day of the ABSA Cape Epic 2023. For the first time in history, outside of a time trial, the entire stage was hosted by a single landowner.
