In a break from a traditional contest format, Europe’s longest running event, the Leysin Champs Open Winter Freestyle Festival 2014 celebrates the roots of Snowboarding and Freeskiing by launching a new, fresh event format. Calling the resort of Leysin home base, and utilising the awe inspiring backdrop of the Vaud region of Switzerland as it’s canvas, this years edition will be split into a film & editing component culminating in a freestyle show and three day music festival at the Place to Be.

After a heated battle, the twelve slopestyle finalists for LAAX OPEN 2016 have been figured out. Swedish top-rider Sven Thorgren showed the best performance of the day with a score of 89.05. Our discovery journey through the Dolomiti Super Freestyle snowparks continues at the Sanpe Snowpark, a park which was completely renovated for this season and where everyone can find challenging obstacles for his/her own level. The park’s location on the San Pellegrino Pass is particularly favorable: there is no lack of natural snow and the area is always sunlit. We spent an awesome film and photo shooting day in the park together with the riders!
