Windy wild conditions set the scene for the first day of the 2010 O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series, but it was the surfing that took center stage. The wind and rain deter no one. Sam Lamiroy does the webcast for the CWC Tasmania this week. Sam shows us the technical side, the behind the scene of this event. What goes on when an event like this is put on. He leads us into “the dark side” of professional surfing. The highlight of this day is without a doubt John John Florence’s perfect 10 score. Sam interviews the ASP Worldtour headjudge and the commentator if this score is justified. He even asks John John himself what score he would give himself.

Day1: Jarrad gives us a tour of "the campervan-team". He shows us where the surfers set up camp during their week in Marrawah, Tasmania.

Kicking off in March 2009, the Series will first travel to Tasmania for the most Southern event within professional surfing. The island state 240km off mainland Australia boasts big powerful surf and a variety of world class reef and beach breaks in a rugged and challenging environment, with an average water temperature of 13 degrees in March.
