The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2011 returns to the Yucatán Peninsula
The root-covered sinkhole close to the archaeological site of Chichen Itza in Mexico has assumed an almost mythic dimension. Not only for the descendants of the Maya, but also for the high diving elite who are excited at returning to this truly stunning setting deep in the heart of the Yucatán jungle. Cenote Ik Kil was attributed sacred powers by the pre-Columbian cultures and is the venue for the second competition in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series on April 10, 2011.
