X Games promo: Seppe Smits!

The words "kicker" and "hip" hardly seem accurate enough to describe these massive features built at Mammoth last spring during the filming of Standing Sideways. Watch as the crew of Charles Reid, Mikkel Bang, Mark McMorris, Terje Haakonsen, Danny Davis, Seppe Smits, and Kazu Kokubo make short work out of these tall beasts.

One session. One day. 15 different tricks. Seppe is a machine.

Seppe Smits is the smoothest snowboarder since Sam Stawaddle. Growing up riding dry slopes in Belgium gave Seppe some supreme stomping powers, as demonstrated by his first ever Snow Porn. This video contains no slow-mo whatsoever, that is just Seppe's style making it look that way.

Seppe Smits may come from a country with no mountains whatsoever, but this is not deterring him from chasing his dream of rising up the TTR rankings. Seppe grew up as a 'Fridge Kid', learning how to ride on Belgium's dry slopes before actually shredding a real mountain for the first time during 1999 in Gerlos, Austria. You would think growing up on dry slope limits the skill set of a young rider, however, Seppe can do it all and has proved this multiple times already.

Usually spring is the time when most riders start to hang up their gear, but for riders like Mark McMorris, Mikkel Bang, Seppe Smits, Roope Tonteri, Werni Stock, Marko Grilc, and Peetu Piiroinen, it's the time to start laying down the hammers. During the O'Neill Evolution 2012 the atmosphere intensified as the lead swapped between Eric Willet(USA) and Mark McMorris(USA). Willet scored what looked like an unassailable 95.30pts with a switch backside doublecork 1260 to lipslide 270 in his second run, only for McMorris to edge in front of him with a score of 95.60pts with a bigger backside doublecork 1260 to lipslide 270.
