Last April, twelve riders gathered in the middle of the Pyrenees, in the melting end of season snow, in temperatures unusually high for that time of the year.

But this was not enough to jeopardize the first edition of the Twisted Trick, a session conceived by Nike 6.0 and ho5 parks in Barèges / La Mongie (also known as Tourmalet), whom first objective was to try new forms of jumps, straight out of the ingenious minds of Christoph Weber (the brain behind the Gap Session) and Xavier Marcou. With such warm weather a couple of features never made the light off day, but in their place other creations were born in the slush.

Gérôme Mathieu, Marc Swoboda, Markus Keller, Chris Sorman, Knut Eliassen, Marco Smolla, Jakob Wilhelmson, Kalle Ohlson, Victor De Le Rue, Mathieu Crépel, Teo Konttinen and Weber all defied natural elements (rain, wind, fog) for a week and adapted their ideas to these obstacles, all different from each other.

There was the standard big transfer that Swoboda and Moissonnier destroyed to more playful projects like the Canyon or the innovative Shark feature.. Which finally got sessioned on the last day by Marcus Keller, Marc Swoboda and Christophe Weber, which was amazing to see, and even better for them to ride. The rider of the week was definitely the local hero Victor De Le Rue, who pushed back the limits and impressed the entire crew, with so much amplitude and creativity. For a first year marked by a full-size test, this session was a blast.

Despite the elements being against us, the riders gave everything (especially Teo and Markus) and the week was awesome: a mix of slushy snow, home-made rum, fondue, tanning parties and more than anything, a lot of fun with friends.
