The 9th edition of the WSF World Rookie Fest started it’s week-long with 3 days for trainings and qualification in Livigno at the Mottolino Snowpark. 127 rippers up to 18 years old from seventeen nations joined this legendary youth snowboard event. Enjoy here the video from the training and qualification days.
The WSF World Rookie Tour is organized by the World Snowboard Federation in collaboration with its National Snowboard Associations, and it is made possible by REDBULL, Blue-Tomato and Volkl Snowboards.

Sven Thorgren (SWE) and Celia Petrig (SUI) won the 2012 Protest World Rookie Finals in Ischgl, Austria, and were crowned WSF 2012 World Rookie Champions with a special prize giving ceremony including live music and special guests. It was the largest edition ever of the World Rookie Finals with more than 90 riders and 20 national team.

The weather gods finally smiled upon Nanshan Ski Village as riders were met with perfect conditions for Day 2 of the 9th Red Bull Nanshan Open! In a closely fought battle, Finland's Janne Korpi would clinch top honors at this 4Star Swatch Ticket To Ride slopestyle contest, edging out young-gun Anton Bilare by a close judging decision. "I'm feeling pretty good! The weather was nice and the riding was great - it was really fun to ride today," said Janne.

It was a perfect sunny day for The Protest World Rookie Fest finals at the Swatch Mottolino Snowpark. The riding level was high and kids coming from all around the world confirmed that the progression of snowboarding is happening. With 5 riders on the podium, Norway conquered the title of best team at the TTR Protest World Rookie Fest 2011, hosted in Livigno, Italy, at the Mottolino Snowpark. Norwegian rising star Emil Andre Ulsletten was crowned the best rider of the event and won, among the many prizes, his ticket to ride for the Oakley Arctic Challange in Oslo.
