Jarrad Howse tells us about the highlights of Day2. They finish Round 1 and go through Heat 6 of Round 96. Conditions had eased slightly from yesterday allowing the competition to use its mobile format and head to the more exposed beach of Lighthouse. Windy wild conditions set the scene for the first day of the 2010 O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series, but it was the surfing that took center stage. The wind and rain deter no one. Jarrad welcomes us to the final day of the competition. In true O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series style, they are blessed with offshore winds and pumping waves at Thurso East. After four spectacular and wild surf events spanning four different continents, Santa Cruz will host the final stop of the Cold Water Classic Series 2009. From the 02nd until the 08th of November 2009, this innovative series comes down to its fifth and final event - the WQS 6-Star Prime Cold Water Classic California 2009 at Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz, California. Here, the inaugural Cold Water Classic Series winner will be crowned and awarded with the staggering US$ 50,000 prize money.
