On Sunday, March 12, 2023, more than 12.500 participants from 42 nations compete in the 53rd edition of the Engadin Skimarathon, the second largest cross-country skiing event in the world and the largest cross-country skiing event in Switzerland. At 8.15 am in the morning the starting pistol is fired in the village of Maloja (Upper Engadin) starting the race leading the athletes through the beautiful scenery of Switzerland.
It is a challenging race by the men’s leading group over the full distance, delivering an intense final sprint. Arnaud Chautemps (FRA) has just the nose ahead of Tom Mancini (FRA) and Jason Rüesch (SUI) in the end.
In the women’s elite race category, the whole podium is placed by the Swiss Athletes: Giuliana Werro (1st), Nadja Kälin (2nd) and Anja Weber (3rd).
