The 2021 Engadinwind ended with iQ Foil World Championship. With a record field of participants the IQ Foil World championship is the most important and largest foil competition in 2021 with 250 participants from 37 nations. IQ Foil is the new Olympic windsurfing class for 2024 in Paris. Hélène Noesmoen (FRA) is the first ever and 2021 iQ FoiL Women World Champion! The French has been leading the event for the whole week showing her strength in all different conditions and disciplines.
Finishing the podium are Islay Watson in 2nd place and Saskia Sills in 3rd both from the UK. Nicolas Goyard from French is the 2021 Men iQ FoiL World Champion! Nicolas Goyard has been leading in the development of foil racing and shows that he is the best even in a one design class! His achievement wasn’t unexpected as he was one of the favourites for this event. Finishing the podium are Matt Barton (UK) in second and dutchman Luuc van Opzeeland in 3rd place.
