It’s the 3rd day in Hossegor at the Swatch Girls Pro 2010. Conditions were small and clean with a light cross-shore sea breeze throughout the afternoon as the low tide offered waves in the 2-3ft range. Today is the Swatch Girls Pro Junior which showcases the talented mix of European and overseas under-21 junior female surfers. The girls battle tough weather conditions that batter the contest site non-stop from first light this morning. Competition runs through one complete round and the round 2 to heat 5 until the small conditions forced the organization to stop the contest at the beginning of the afternoon. The SWATCH GIRLS PRO France 2011 event was officially launched this Wednesday morning. 72 surfers met at the beach break of Les Bourdaines for an exciting and promising event.
The first heats were in the water as early as 7.30am this morning to benefit from the best wave conditions forecast today. The surfers were greeted with 4ft swell and strong currents, tough conditions for the start of Round 1, which translated in rather low scores all through the heats.

The ASP 6-Star SWATCH GIRLS PRO France held a marathon day running through three rounds of competition to decide the final remaining 12 athletes in the chase for the 2011 SWATCH GIRLS PRO France title. Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) defeats Sage Erickson (USA) on an epic final day of competition to win the SWATCH GIRLS PRO France at Seignosse in Hossegor.
Both Fitzgibbons and Erickson surfed at their limit on the final day of competition in front of the packed holiday crowd who flocked to the beach to support some of the world’s finest women’s surfers, but it was Fitzgibbons who found the scores needed to take the SWATCH GIRLS PRO victory over the American surfer.
