The Open Faces 4* FWQ (Freeride World Qualifier) at Silvretta Montafon (AUT) took place on Sunday, Feb. 27th, under special but best conditions this year. It was "the showdown" for the preliminary decisions for the newly introduced FWQ Finals system and the chance to advance to the Freeride World Tour 2023. High-quality runs, a lot of airtime, many backflips and an absolute "moment of the day" of the winner in the men's ski category. Paul Dentan (SUI) won this category with challenging jumps over short sequenced groups of rocks as well as a wide backflip in the lower part. Impressive performances of the young riders were shown in all disciplines in their runs through the face with deep snow and rocks.
