Balancing on a one-inch wide webbing in dizzy heights right in front of the world-famous Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Africa is an extraordinary dream that has come true for two professional slackliners:
After two years of preparation, 26-year old economic science student Lukas Irmler from Germany and 34-year old journalist and author Reinhard Kleindl from Austria, achieved their sought-after goal: balancing on a one-inch wide webbing in a height of 100 metres, right in front of the unique setting of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The two slackliners not only enjoyed a breath-taking view on the 1.7 km-wide and majestic waterfalls, but also the unique sight of a circular rainbow in the spray smother underneath their highline.
Lukas said: “We’ve waited for over two years to come here... If it wasn’t the very best, we wouldn’t have waited for two years to experience this moment and get this incredible chance. We will never forget our time here in Zimbabwe and our African highline, which we named “Nyami Nyami” after the Zambezi River God.”
