12 great and stylish riders are here to help shape the future of snowboarding. Confirmed pro riders are Olympic Halfpipe Champion, Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI), Markus Keller (SUI), Arthur Longo (FRA), Danny Davis (USA), Jack Mitrani (USA), Benji Farrow (USA), Scotty Lago (USA), as well as young guns Gabe and Ben Ferguson (USA). Terje Haakonsen (NOR) will for sure also take part himself. The concept is simple, but complex in a modern sports world: Athletes decides on arena and contest format. On Saturday (forecast: sun) a packed Oslo audience (hopefully) awaits action. The riders have three days to decide which format to perform in. The job is as obvious as difficult: Make a format that is cool for both the athletes and the spectators.

First practice day at The Arctic Challenge in Oslo, Norway. The event is presented and hosted by legendary snowboarder Terje Haakonsen. Danny Davis has arrived and joins the riders, including Arthur Longo and Olympic Gold winner Iouri "iPod" Podladtchikov, for their first session in the pipe. The riders are in Oslo to take on a creative halfpipe with additional features included in the set up, in their quest to continue the progression and the future of snowboarding.

On the last day of the event the riders competed in two jam sessions lasting one hour each. The first hour was an expression session where riders could focus on single features or combination tricks. The second session the focus was to show creativity, variety, height and technical difficulty in complete runs.
