In the 2009/10 season, age 22, Kevin Pearce sustained a severe traumatic brain injury on December 31st, 2009 while training in the halfpipe in Park City, Utah. Recovering well and hoping to be back on snow as soon as possible, Kevin Pearce, still is one of snowboardings living legends - endlessly entertaining and inspiring to millions. The men dropped into the pipe in the afternoon and perfect weather conditions continued for the men’s field. Iouri Padladchikov (SUI) had a little trouble on his first run but came back to take the top spot with his second drop putting down a huge crippler, double McTwist 1260, frontside 1080 tailgrab, and a Cab 720.
