The curtains of the 2019 Momentum Health Cape Pioneer Trek presented by Biogen have officially drawn to a close - and it is the South African riders who dominate this gruelling 7-day stage race.
In the UCI Elite MEN category, it is DSV Pro Cycling’s Gert Heyns (RSA) / Arno du Toit (RSA) who took the deserved victory ahead of their compatriots Gerbon Mos / Tim Smeenge and the Austrian team of Wolfgang Krenn / Moran Vermeulen.
In the UCI Elite WOMMEN´s race, the podium only saw South African pro riders. Theresa Ralph (RSA) and Sarah Hill (RSA) crossed the finish line as the undisputed queens of the ‘Race with Soul’.
